Setting up email/comment triggers in the funnel

How can I notify companies about moving them to the next/another funnel step?


No automatic notifications are sent to companies whose applications you move in your deal room funnel. However, to notify companies about moving them in the funnel or to contact companies when moving them in the funnel, you can turn on application move emails in Funnel setup.

To do that:
go to deal room settings
open the Preferences tab
click on "Funnel" in the Setup section
open the actions menu (from three dots below the step name) of the step where you want to turn on application move emails
choose "Triggers"
choose "Required" or "Optional" for "Send company an email when moving application to [step name]" (meaning you correspondingly can or cannot move applications to that step without sending them an email)
click "OK"
click "Save" at the bottom of the screen



When application move emails are turned on, you will see a popup where you can/must send an email every time you move company applications to the step where you have turned on application move emails.



If you don't want to write emails from scratch, you can set up email templates in deal room preferences.

When moving applications, the correct email template will be pre-selected and appear in the dialogue if you have given email templates certain names in the format "Move to [funnel step name]" (without square brackets). Please keep in mind that the step name should be written exactly as it is in the funnel. Using such template names allows you to send application move emails in one click.


Can I indicate the purpose of archiving an application/moving an application to a specific funnel step?


You can add a reason as an internal comment when moving applications to chosen funnel steps by using the application move commenting feature.

To turn on application move comments:
go to deal room settings
open the Preferences tab
click on "Funnel" in the Setup section
open the actions menu (from three dots below the step name) of the step where you want to turn on application move emails
choose "Triggers"
choose "Required" or "Optional" for "Add a reason when moving application to [step name]" (meaning you correspondingly can or cannot move applications to that step without adding a reason)
click "OK"
click "Save" at the bottom of the screen


When application move commenting has been set up, a dialogue for adding a comment will be displayed when you move applications to the step you have turned on application move reasons for. If you have made adding a reason optional, you are able to move applications to the step also without adding a comment. If you have made adding a reason required, you are not able to move applications to the step without adding a comment.


Your comment will be saved to the Internal discussion related to the application.
